The Position

We are looking for a growth strategy minded Email Marketing Manager to join our Commerce team. The individual in this role will be pivotal to leading and transforming The SpringHill Company’s overall email marketing strategy through editorial driven moments, B2C product campaigns and segmented product automation initiatives. The EMM will own the overall email marketing process from developing the initial strategy, to partnering with internal teams on content opportunities, and ultimately, executing and analyzing the success of implemented strategies. This role is equal parts strategic, creative and analytical. The EMM must have a strong understanding of revenue generating ecommerce email practices, opt-in email marketing, funnel strategies, email team project management and processes. Success in this role is driven by the individual’s ability to both grow The SpringHill Company’s email revenue channel, as well as its subscriber base across its core brands - UNINTERRUPTED and SpringHill - and to transition these subscribers to loyal brand evangelists and customers.

Core responsibilites

  • Develop short & long-term tactical commerce strategies and automations focused on customer journeys through both email marketing and SMS marketing platforms to increase retention and customer lifetime value.
  • Lead and create the overall branded email and SMS marketing strategies with a goal of generating, capturing, engaging, and converting leads.
  • Support new Commerce & Marketing initiatives by providing thought leadership across email and SMS solutions to achieve individual and departmental goals.
  • Set overall email and SMS campaign KPIs for all commerce and brand initiatives while monitoring and optimizing campaign and workflow performance to meet and exceed identified KPIs.
  • Actively analyze and provide timely performance reporting against existing and new strategies (audience segments, demand and revenue driving solutions, test and learn experiments, etc.), leveraging data to inform recommendations and improve ROI.
  • Communicate email & SMS creative needs to in-house creative teams from brief to launch.
  • Recommend, strategize, execute and optimize campaign and workflow split-tests.
  • Be a thought leader, challenging teams to think outside the box, find innovative solutions, and drive success.
  • Develop customer and community engagement solutions to ensure the most optimal customer experience by providing accurate, helpful information and timely responses.
  • Work closely with cross-functional experts (i.e,. Marketing, Franchise, Social, Creative) to leverage their expertise and insights to execute against all campaigns. 
  • Project manage all email and SMS campaigns, in partnership with the Commerce, Creative, & Digital Ops teams, to compile all assets, copy and deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Partner with both Digital and Marketing Operations teams to manage and operationalize email marketing calendars as well as to implement and execute an internal monthly marketing newsletter in support of product launches and other team objectives.
  • Generate and maintain an overall company email marketing best practices toolkit.

Qualifications Necessary

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of email marketing, email operations and best practices, with a focus on e-commerce.
  • Must have experience working with marketing automation tools and ESPs like Klayvio, Listrak, Salesforce, etc.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing creative, high impact, revenue driving email  and SMS campaigns.
  • Background in copywriting, content creation and a love for out of box thinking and ideation.
  • Experiment-first mentality; ample experience with A/B testing and email optimization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Loves data, numbers and insight mining.
  • Goal-oriented, strategic and creative thinker with a hands-on approach to driving and obtaining results.
  • Strong understanding and consumption of emerging digital media channels.
  • Knowledge of Collaboration software like Asana, Wrike, Jira, Basecamp, and Monday is a plus.
  • Passion for entertainment, art, sports, lifestyle, music.
