Franchise Director - The ShopTHE SPRINGHILL COMPANY (TSHC)

We create every form of content- scripted and unscripted film and television, social media, experiential and audio. We are developing original consumer products and we partner with large brands on their consumer strategies.

The Position

We are looking for a dynamic Director to join our growing Franchise Development team. The individual who takes on this role will be exclusively responsible for driving the continued expansion of the Sports Emmy Award winning franchise, UNINTERRUPTED’s The Shop. As the gatekeeper of the franchise, the Director will drive the overall franchise strategy and roadmap, marketing briefs and initiatives, brand and high-value licensing partnerships tapping into the cross-functional team to execute against all plans. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must be a visionary, capable of bringing big ideas to propel the franchise forward, with strong brand management and licensing experience.

Core responsibilites

  • Manage, execute and continually evaluate The Shop franchise strategy to ensure year over year growth and expansion of the brand into categories including, but not limited to, fashion and apparel, home goods, retail, experiences, gaming etc.
  • Drive the development, strategy and execution of The Shop grooming line with development, manufacturing and retail partners.
  • Partner with the Commerce team to cultivate authentic and merchandisable brand extensions.
  • Ensure long-term success by collaborating with Business and Studio teams to develop new content IP extensions, and strategic solutions to monetize applicable opportunities, according to the overarching franchise playbook.
  • Build and execute relationships with culture-forward licensing partnerships guiding the strategic vision inclusive of the creative approach, positioning, go-to-market planning and analyses of all programs.
  • Partner with the VP, Franchise Development to ensure the financial performance of licensing partnerships are achieved through continuous analyzing and troubleshooting against KPIs and P&Ls.
  • Serve as the marketing lead for all Shop programs and collaborate with all departments within TSHC including Marketing, Commerce, Studio, Brand Partnerships, Creative, and key Operations leads to execute against all plans.
  • Serve as the go to person for all Shop related inquiries and needs.
  • Continually mine for consumer, competitive and industry insights to inform strategic business development opportunities.
  • Develop Licensing Manager by providing ownership across select partnership engagements.

Qualifications Necessary

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Business/Marketing
  • 8-10 years experience in brand management or brand marketing within digital media and/or entertainment
  • Experience managing licensing and business development opportunities
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing partnerships, multiple projects and timelines
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinker with an eye for creating and writing the future
  • Keen understanding of and in depth knowledge managing budgets forecasts and P&Ls
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (both written & verbal), and presentation skills
  • Extremely goal-oriented with the ability to prioritize
