Publicity & Athlete Relations Intern

JOB ROLE The UNINTERRUPTED Publicity and Athlete Relations intern will be responsible for helping find and develop athletes with unique stories that fit within the UNINTERRUPTED brand, while assisting in the day-to-day needs of the publicity and athlete relations department. Creativity, passion, and a desire to be authentic will all be critical in supporting the growth of the UNINTERRUPTED brand messaging and athlete content strategy and direction. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter that thinks creatively about how to cater to media, athletes and sports fans through authentic, engaging and empowering content. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The internship will also provide exposure to other divisions of UNINTERRUPTED, offering an excellent opportunity for aspiring sports media professionals to assess the inner workings of the company with an eye on potential career paths. Responsibilities may include:

  • Assist in researching athletes, talent, press contacts, outlets for upcoming projects.
  • Brainstorm and ideate creative ways to pitch UN content to media.
  • For every UN release: daily news monitoring, uploading all clips into 2018 press coverage document, and creating clip lists for distribution.
  • Researching and updating contacts in our UN master media list.
  • Coordinate schedules and logistics with managers and publicists.
  • Responsible for greeting athletes during office visits.
  • Manage the schedules of visiting athletes.
  • Ensure that all appropriate content is collected during guest visits.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast- paced environment under deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work and prioritize work assignments.
  • Demonstrate high levels of personal initiative.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least one year of internship experience in a professional environment.
  • Strong knowledge of sports.

  • Have the desire and ability to create compelling, unique stories and ideas.
  • Knowledge of AP style.

Marketing Intern

JOB ROLE The UNINTERRUPTED Marketing intern will assist with all aspects of securing, fulfilling and building brand partnerships, while contributing to the day-to-day needs of the brand partnerships department. Creativity, passion, and a desire to be authentic will all be critical in supporting the growth of the UNINTERRUPTED brand amongst a corporate audience. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter that thinks creatively about how to provide authentic, meaningful and mutually beneficial partnerships that result in successful branded content. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The internship will also provide exposure to other divisions of UNINTERRUPTED, offering an excellent opportunity for aspiring sports media professionals to assess the inner workings of the company with an eye on potential career paths. Responsibilities may include:

  • Assistance with brand partner research and presentations
  • Assistance with activities related to CRM databases
  • Researching athlete talent for potential branded content opportunities
  • Maintain ongoing status of potential brands for upcoming projects

JOB ROLE The UNINTERRUPTED Production and Audio intern will be responsible for helping to create captivating content while assisting in the day-to-day needs of the production and audio departments. The Production and Audio Intern will be involved in the creative ideation and execution of UN Productions and UN Podcasts. Candidates should possess a strong interest in a future in sports production is a necessity. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The internship will also provide exposure to other divisions of UNINTERRUPTED, offering an excellent opportunity for aspiring sports media professionals to assess the inner workings of the company with an eye on potential career paths. Responsibilities may include:

  • Creating graphics for videos.
  • Audio & video editing, encoding & compression
  • Export and deliver files tailored to specific platform needs (Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, YouTube)
  • Research for various projects/documentaries
  • Ideation for discussion topics
  • Curate and implement ideas for additional content on all digital marketing properties
  • Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly organized, resourceful and dependable with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

  • Audio & Video editing skills with experience utilizing Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and/or After Effects.

  • Will also be assisting in writing copy for posts, manually posting videos and assisting in building UNINTERRUPTED’s social media presence
